Della produzione e del significato di questo brano sono stati scritti fiumi di parole. Uno degli aneddoti che mi ho trovato interessante è che pare che Dylan abbia chiesto a tutti i musicisti che stavano in sala di registrazione (tranne la sezione fiati) di suonare uno strumento diverso da quello loro principale. Poi ci sono dodicimila commenti sui doppi e tripli sensi del testo, riferimenti biblici ecc, ma essendo tutti impegnati con le polizie di Pasqua, lascerei il passo alla musica:
