Ten years ago “Non ci resta che ridere”, the second album by Etruschi from Lakota, a then emerging band from the Cecina Valley in Southern Tuscany was released. The album followed “I nuovi mostri” in 2013, and preceded “Giù la testa” in 2017.
In the pibinko.org network Etruschi from Lakota had a fundamental role to drive the integration of music and outreach about rural issues which led in 2018 to the launch of the Jug Band Colline Metallifere (to learn more about our approach to the topic of music and outreach integration please see this interview+concert from 2021).
So: what could be a better opportunity than this tenth anniversary to have a refresher of this album? Skinny farmers…village bars…immigration…access to paradise..the discovery of America…all with a sound bridging Led Zeppelin to Rino Gaetano (this was the very first impression I had when I saw a concert in March 2015, then I had the chance of delving a lot more in depth in their work and found many many more nuances).
With the 2020 complexities, the EFL album production had a hiatus, although you can occasionally see them performing live, and with Dario Canal and Simone Sandrucci we are collaborating on various projects.
